Family Office Financial & Accounting Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking a Family Office Financial & Accounting Associate to support the financial, accounting, tax, estate planning, and wealth management activities of a multi-family office serving a select group of senior partners and their families.

This role offers broad exposure to personal financial management, investment administration, financial reporting, tax planning, charitable giving, and estate planning. The ideal candidate is a highly organized accounting or finance professional who thrives in a detail-oriented environment, demonstrates exceptional discretion, and enjoys working directly with high-net-worth individuals and multiple generations of family members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, agreements, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with quarterly financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support cash management, liquidity tracking, and financial projections.
  • Coordinate with tax advisors on personal, trust, and gift tax matters.
  • Work with estate planning attorneys on gifting and other estate-related activities.
  • Monitor and maintain records related to investments, insurance, and wealth management activities.
  • Assist with bill payment administration and financial account maintenance.
  • Coordinate charitable gifting and related reporting.
  • Support real estate transaction administration, including purchases, sales, and ongoing recordkeeping.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and ensure accurate record retention.
  • Participate in special financial projects and ad hoc analyses as needed.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
  • 2+ years of accounting, family office, tax, public accounting, wealth management, or financial services experience preferred.
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
